Yacht Detailing & Service FAQ

Answers to common questions about yacht detailing, ceramic coating, engine service, paint repair and yacht management in South Florida.

Do you come to my marina or dock?

Yes. Dynamic Details is a mobile yacht service. We come to your marina, private dock or slip anywhere in Broward, Palm Beach and Miami-Dade counties, so in most cases you never have to move the boat.

What areas do you serve?

We are based in Broward County and serve all of South Florida's east coast, including Fort Lauderdale, Pompano Beach, Hollywood, Boca Raton, Delray Beach, West Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, Jupiter, Miami, Miami Beach, Aventura, Sunny Isles, North Miami and Key Biscayne.

How much does yacht detailing cost?

Pricing depends on the size of your vessel, its current condition and the services you choose. A quick wash-down costs far less than a full compound, polish and ceramic coating. Call or text 561-887-5134 or use our quote form for a free, no-obligation estimate.

How often should I have my yacht detailed in South Florida?

Florida sun, salt air and humidity are hard on a finish. Most owners benefit from a wash-down every one to two weeks, a wax every few months and a deeper polish once or twice a year. We can recommend a schedule based on how often you use your boat and where it is stored.

What is the difference between wax and ceramic coating?

Wax sits on top of the surface and provides shine and short-term protection that needs to be reapplied regularly. A marine ceramic coating chemically bonds to the surface and creates a harder, longer-lasting protective layer that resists UV, oxidation and staining and makes cleaning easier.

How long does a ceramic coating last on a boat?

It depends on the product used, how the boat is stored and how well the coating is maintained. Marine ceramic coatings generally last much longer than wax. We will explain the expected lifespan and recommended maintenance for your specific vessel before we start.

Can you remove oxidation from my gelcoat?

In most cases, yes. Chalky, faded or dull gelcoat can usually be restored with machine compounding and polishing. Heavily neglected surfaces may need wet sanding first. We will assess your boat and tell you what result to expect.

What is the difference between a wash-down and a full detail?

A wash-down is a regular fresh-water wash that removes salt and dirt to keep your yacht clean between bigger jobs. A full detail goes further, with waxing or polishing, protection and deeper cleaning of surfaces, hardware and interiors.

Do you service boat engines?

Yes. Along with detailing, we handle routine engine service and engine work, including scheduled maintenance, diagnostics and repairs. Tell us your engine make, model and hours and we will let you know what it needs.

What is fuel polishing?

Fuel polishing circulates the diesel in your tanks through a filtration system that removes water, sludge, sediment and microbial growth, often called the diesel bug. Clean fuel protects injectors and filters and helps prevent engine trouble, especially on boats that sit for long periods in the Florida heat.

Do you do paint and fiberglass repair?

Yes. We repair dings, scratches, gouges and cracks in fiberglass and gelcoat, and handle paint touch-ups and refinishing so repairs blend in with the rest of the boat.

What does yacht management include?

Our yacht management service keeps your boat cared for while you are busy or away. It can include regular inspections, scheduled cleaning and detailing, engine maintenance, coordinating repairs and getting the yacht ready before you head out.

How long does a full yacht detail take?

A wash and wax on a smaller vessel may take a few hours, while a full correction and ceramic coating on a large yacht can take several days. We will give you a time estimate with your quote and schedule around your plans.

Do I need to be on the boat while you work?

No. Many of our clients are owners who are away or captains who are busy with other tasks. As long as we have access arranged with you, your captain or the marina, we can complete the work and walk through the results with you afterward.

Can you prepare my yacht for sale or a charter?

Absolutely. A professional detail, along with any needed paint and engine work, is one of the most effective ways to make a strong first impression on buyers, brokers and charter guests. Let us know your timeline and we will prioritize the work that makes the biggest difference.
